Carissa got her baby walker today.. hahah early Christmas present from grandma Bev. She loves it, but she moves backward :P hhahahahah

Today we have to pass the baby in the parking lot again for the second time. Brrr... it's cold and look.. daddy didn't put Carissa in her snow suit... hmmpff.. good thing he covered her with her blankie. So mommy can stopped at Hy-Vee to get some groceries.

After reading the Super Baby Food book, I bought a training cups for her to drink water. I was kind of not sure whether she will know how to use it or not. But surprisingly once I gave her the cup, she actually knows how to use it!

Carissa has chaps cheek.. hopefully it's not something that i have to be worry about.. they said that either because of her excessive drooling can cause her cheek chapped.. or it could be a teething sign.

Honestly I don't want her to have tooth till later on.. maybe 12 months or so :D I'm scarred of nursing a baby who already have tooth!! :( she'll bite me I bet!

so AJ (my BFF's son) who is a week younger than Carissa already teething.. so I'm paranoid... I started buying teething medication and pacifier for Carissa.. just in case if she start getting fussy in the middle of winter storm or we're at grandma's house.

So far I have.. the razberry teether my friend recomended
and then I bought some teether tablets & gels that I read is safe and awesome (based on so many sites reviews)

Am I so paranoid or what??!! :D heheheh better safe than sorry!! :P

Today I put together her high chair :). She's still unsure what she supposed to do with this chair, but I bet she'll figure out real soon. This high chair is one of the gifts from oma vonny. Since she start eating solid, I think she's ready for a high chair.

Today she took 2 long naps, and I actually can put her down (which is a miracle!) hahahaha. I guess she is growing up huh... :( soon she doesn't want to be held *cry... * huu huuu now I want to hold her but she's sleeping :D heheheh.

Finally Carissa ate cereal!! :) Her first solid food. She had her first spoon last night at grandma & grandpa's house. Grandma bought her this cereal.. she actually likes it :) well she's unsure at first last night so I only gave her 3 tiny spoons. But tonight I gave her more and she actually mad when I took away the spoon from her mouth. She's so cute!!! I love seeing her eating from a spoon. Since I haven't had time to purchase an infant spoon, I used the tea spoon and she's okay with it. But I went to Hy-vee and got her infant spoon.

I love my baby!! she's so cute!!

Today is her big day, we went to the doctor for her 4 months check up. Everything looks great, she weighs 13 lbs 12 oz, and her length is 24 1/8 inch and her head is 42 cm.

I think she's in 50th percentile for weight and height, but 95 percentile for her head :D hahahahah if Carissa 95, AJ might be 120! :P hahahaha

She did really well on her shots compare to the first time. She only start screaming on the third shots and then after that she cried a lil bit until I nursed her. Then she all happy again.

Next stop.. 6 months.. :) Now she's sleeping in her carseat :D

Today was a very busy day for Carissa...



woke up at 8:00am, went to get her thumb print for the Indonesian passport with AJ too. The Indonesian consulate from Chicago came to Ames to take care of all the consular affairs that the Indonesian students need. Since they came late, so Carissa got a lil bit cranky because she missed her nap. But good thing there were a lot of people entertained her and keep her happy.


Went back home around 12:00-ish, she's so tired she even took a nap in her car seat. Play with AJ a lil bit and then AJ went back to DSM and Carissa took her nap again.


After she woke up, she tried the excersaucer. First she was kind of confused what to do, but once she figured it out she loves it, she start grabbing and turning around and play with the toys. She support herself pretty good.

At 6:15-ish pm we went to a fish fry party :D well.. it's not really a party but it was fun tho, one of the wrestling kid's parents host it. Good food and we got a sitter :D hahahah well one of the parents told us to keep her in mind if we need a sitter. And seems like Carissa didn't mind at all when she's holding her. :)


She fell asleep on the way back home... *piuh* what a long day... and too many new faces and environments.

I love how Carson always takes pictures of her when he watches her while I'm at work. It's nice to come home to browse thru some silly pictures on my other camera.

What's new with my baby:

• She laugh out loud more, especially when playing with auntie Erica
• She's good in a car ride
• She can rollover from back to front & front to back (sometime)
• She always smile when she wakes up from a nap
• She sleeps from 8:30pm - 2:00-ish am and go back to bed after feeding. She wakes mommy up around 7:30-ish
• She becomes a thumb sucker
• She loves to play with her feet
• She remember people faces
